sorry...will you accept a post on desires of a domestic heart?

So I bet you thought I forgot all about this blog.

Well, as a matter of fact, I did.

Things have just been so wild since I was last here. Life has a funny way of going at warp speed, & while I'm not going to promise to be a faithful blogger, I will try my hardest to post every once in a while so that I don't starve my stalkers to death.

{Apparently there are stalkers of mine out there, & they have complained. Management sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience.}

Lets see, what has happened in this little life my mine to pull my attention away from this little blog & I'll try to fill you in all about it as the weeks go by. There's a lot of catching up to do.

For now, I'll tell you some exciting news!

{Which is probably exciting to me only, & you won't give a hoot, but if that's the case than it too bad for you, this is my blog}

After 3 years of wishing & hoping I have finally saved & saved & saved & have now received {sort of}* the biggest desire of my little domesticated heart ever.

Fiestaware.

{I knew you wouldn't think much of it - I'll be sure to serve you dinner off of styrofoam plates, & not the good kind either, then you can tell me what you think of Fiestaware}

The sort of* refers to the fact that there are actually still in boxes in the USA. Apparently Fiestaware is forbidden to be shipped to Canada.

{That's just how awesome it is, the Americans want it all to themselves.}

However, we have dual-citizenship connections. Oh yeah.

{Thanks Aunt Louise!}

I ordered the Tangerine & Sunflower colors, & I hope to get the Lemongrass color for Christmas.
Food is going to taste so much better on these dishes.

As it is in our home now, Mat won't even eat off of one set of dishes we currently have. Apparently the green color is unappetizing to him.

{Green makes food taste bad???I don't get it either. I just married him, I can't explain him}

The only sad part of this whole thing is that I will have to wait until Christmas to create miraculous feasts with these dishes. *sigh*

But at least I can look forward to 2010 - it is going to be a fabulous year - the year of the Fiesta kitchen.

{I can hear domestic hearts rejoicing everywhere}

PS- Thanks again Aunt Louise. We really are WAAAAAAAAAY more excited to get to see you at Christmastime.
